OMMA Global SF Recap

Over the last 2 days, San Francisco welcomed the OMMA Global conference that touched the ad categories of Mobile, Social, Display, and DR in their respective class room settings. Attendees were also given terrific presentations from Anders Pers of Coca Cola, Nathan Luman of Zappos, Noah Tratt of Expedia and David Veneski of Intel to name a few.

The biggest surprise speech performance were the guys from Orabrush, an inspirational success story of a small tongue cleaning company that grew from nothing to a major brand (sold in Walmart) from funny YouTube videos.

At the end of the day, Mediaplex’s own Matt Anthony gave the “real deal” when it comes to statistics in attribution analysis in the panel “Driving Conversions the Display Way”.  The crowd for this panel was  very sophisticated media buyers, analysts and executives who were very interested in asking questions. Matt discussed the difference between reporting and real analytics, some of the fallacies in current attribution methodologies and where the industry needs to go to get better attribution results. A follow up reception was held at the Sky View Bar to close out the night over looking downtown San Francisco.

Going to eTail Palm Springs?
