Matt Anthony is the Senior Director, CRM Analytics for Mediaplex, the technology division of ValueClick. The CRM Analytics group is responsible for developing next-generation targeting, optimization, and attribution analytics solutions that capitalize on the broad range of technologies that Mediaplex offers.
Prior to joining Mediaplex in August 2011, Matt was the Director of eCommerce Analytics for The Sports Authority, in Denver, CO. In that role, he led the group’s entire range of analytics efforts, from strategic analytical projects such as shipping subsidy & pricing analytics to examining & guiding implementation and changes to the group’s web analytics platforms. Before joining Sports Authority, Matt held the position of Director, Strategic Analytics for DataLogix (f.k.a. NextAction), where he & his team focused on algorithm research & development, including development of the company’s advanced catalogue targeting routines, development of the algorithmic platform behind its online segmentation strategy, and development of the company’s first large-scale clustering algorithm, as well as suggesting several modifications to the company’s existing modeling technologies. Matt also served as an equity analyst for Janus Capital Group, where he was responsible for research coverage & recommendation on a wide array of companies and industries within the Investment Management group.
Matt holds a Masters’ degree in Statistics from Harvard University, and a BA in Mathematical Social Science from Dartmouth College. He is based in Denver, Colorado.
